SCG Launches Transportation Services

SCG, The Select Carrier Group, L.P., a wholly owned subsidiary of EGL, Inc. announced the launch of an expedited road feeder service through its ground network in North America effective January 9, 2006.
Ron Talley, President of SCG said: “This new launch offers an expedited schedule and time sensitive LTL product that positions SCG to drive value and new scheduling opportunities for our target customer base of airlines, steamship companies, domestic and international freight forwarders, 3PL service providers and other ground transportation operations.”
SCG operates eight hub centers in Columbus, Chicago, Swedesboro, Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, Sacramento and Kansas City with connecting service to/from 70+ major metropolitan areas. Truckload and dedicated fleet services are also available.
