What is a fuel surcharge?
All SCG ground services are subject to a fuel surcharge ("FSC"). The FSC shall be determined by reference to the "Weekly Retail On-Highway Diesel Prices" report ("DOE Diesel Report") as published by the Energy Information Administration ("EIA") agency of the United States Department of Energy ("DOE").
Should the report location (URL) change, the updated report URL from the Energy Information Administration website located at http://www.eia.doe.gov shall be used.
How is the fuel surcharge calculated?
SCG will determine the applicable surcharge for our Select Ground (RFS, LTL) services monthly based on the DOE Diesel Report's national average price ("DOE Price") for the last Monday of the preceding month unless otherwise notified. Normal effective periods will be from the first Monday of the current month through to the first Monday of the following month. This policy will allow SCG and our customers to respond to changes in fuel prices in the marketplace. SCG reserves the right to modify the effective periods based on market conditions and stability.

Fuel surcharges for Select Load and Select Fleet services will apply as agreed, contracted or quoted.
